Debra Conway, co-proprietor of JFK Lancer Productions, today [August 21] announced the launch of the Lancer Independent News Exchange, or LancerLINE.
"LancerLINE is modeled on the great wire services, AP, UPI and Reuters" said Ms. Conway. "Its editorial focus will be the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, along with subjects relating to what is most succinctly described as 'deep politics.' News stories, features, interviews, bulletins and media analyses will be sent via email and/or conventional post to news organizations and journalists around the world, and re-publication rights will be granted at no charge. Product will be labeled, formatted and otherwise presented in manners consistent with the highest ethical and professional standards of traditional journalism."
Ms. Conway continued, "LancerLINE will facilitate contacts between journalists and our own staff and contributors. And LancerLINE product will be available on the LancerLINE dedicated website (www.jfklancer.com/LNE).
Charles R. Drago, of Providence, Rhode Island, has been named Managing Editor of LancerLINE. Mr. Drago's research into the assassination of President Kennedy and other deep political phenomena has been published widely. He is an experienced professional journalist, editor and freelance writer, and serves as Senior Contributing Editor for "JFK Assassination Chronicles," a quarterly scholarly journal published by JFK Lancer Productions. Mr. Drago has been called "the moral and philosophical conscience of the (JFK) research community" by George Michael Evica, professor emeritus, University of Hartford, and author of the acclaimed And We Are All Mortal.
"Criminal conspiracy in the death of President Kennedy is historical fact," said Mr. Drago. "Let us not mince words: Any person with reasonable access to assassination evidence who does not conclude that that crime was the result of a conspiracy -- 'a partnership in criminal purposes' -- is intellectually deficient, morally bankrupt and/or complicit in the crime. Period."
Mr. Drago added, "For too long mainstream journalism has had difficulty accessing unbiased research into the murder of John F. Kennedy and related stories. As a consequence of operating under such a disadvantage, the media continues to report as fact unsupportable, long-discredited theories about the 'crime of the century' (including those offered as "conclusions" by the Warren Commission and the House Select Committee on Assassinations).
"Further," said Mr. Drago, "so-called 'experts', who are nothing other than paid or de facto spokespersons for those responsible for the assassination and/or its cover-up, are routinely given journalistic forums for the spreading of disinformation simply because no alternative has been available. LancerLINE is now poised to offer, in a readily accessible and cost-effective manner, such an alternative: the truth.
"One of LancerLINE's most important missions will be to reveal the truth of what happened in Dallas on November 22, 1963 by presenting the work of, and making available for interviews and on-the-record comments, the historians, criminologists, physicians, scientists and 'citizen researchers' who courageously investigate the assassination and who long ago penetrated and exposed the cover-up," explained Mr. Drago.
"Thanks to the investment of financial and human resources by Debra Conway and JFK Lancer Productions, LancerLINE is a reality. There no longer are any valid excuses for informed journalists to ignore or otherwise subvert the truth," he said.
The LancerLINE Editorial Board, charged with the responsibilities of policy review and general oversight, includes the aforementioned Professor Evica (who also serves as LancerLINE Editor Emeritus) and Ms. Conway, along with Mary Ferrell, Roger Peterson and others to be named in the immediate future.
"As its managing editor, I shall open LancerLINE to the scrutiny of journalism's 'watchdogs,' including the 'Columbia Journalism Review,' 'Steve Brill's Content,' etc.," said Mr. Drago. "I expect our service to be held to the highest standards. And I shall expect nothing less than similar comportment on the part of the news organizations and journalists who will be receiving our product and evaluating and commenting on our performance."
Mr. Drago concluded, "Some may argue that the conspiracy-as-historical-fact foundation on which LancerLINE is built amounts to an intellectual bias powerful enough to invalidate our work in terms of its status as objective journalism. Any such critic must understand that, given the physical, medical, ballistic, photographic, acoustic, eyewitness, earwitness and circumstantial evidence in support of conspiracy and cover-up, as developed over 35 years, the lone assassin theory today is as worthy of serious consideration as is the basic tenet of the Flat Earth Society.
"Conspiracy in the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy is the fact from which our unbiased investigations proceed."
