The news today was so sad and disheartening, we had to go searching among the proverbs for some solace.
"Whoever tells the truth is chased out of nine villages." --- Turkish Proverb.
The next is difficult to believe today but maybe it will help.
"A lie on the throne is a lie still, and truth in a dungeon is truth still; and a lie on the throne is on the way to defeat, and truth in a dungeon is on the way to victory."
The sad almost unbelievable news is that the House Select Committee on Assassinations is going to report that they found no evidence of a conspiracy in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The American people do not believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the killing of Preident Kennedy.
The American people do not believe that police pimp, Jack Ruby, acted alone in the jail surrounded by dozens of police when he killed Lee H. Oswald.
The American people do not believe the Chief Justice of the United States tried to conduct a proper inquiry in determining who killed our President.
The American people do not believe Gerald Ford would have become President of the United States except for his co-operation in double crossing the populace concerning the assassination of President Kennedy.
It was George Washington who said: "Government is not reason, it is not eloquence --- it is force." It is the force of the United States Government a few of us will continue to face in trying to uncover the facts concerning the assassination of President Kennedy. We have no illusions. There will be no victories to brag about. But some of us think it is worth the price.
We will continue to uncover the facts, and print them as long as we can.
