I flew in on Friday and got a hotel about a half mile from Steve's house. Martin, John, Russ, Todd and Dale all stayed there too as it turned out.

Then we met at Steve's house Saturday morning. I brought two VCR's with me so we could make copies and watch videos. I brought my video where I mounted a camcorder in my truck and drove from the Z-313 spot all the way to the Parkland Emergency docs then we qued up the channel one DPD tape so we could see about where they were as certain other things occur. It was pretty cool if I say so myself.

John McAdams brought the goat killing video. It was really sad watching the goats killed but I think it was done in the fifties. He also showed us a Larry King show with Ricky White.

Then we went around the room and each person ran down their opinion or theory. After that Dale Myers blew us all away with his presentation explaining in detail and showing us blueprints how he created his now famous animation.

Todd Vaughan has an encyclopedic knowledge of the case. He knows everybody's name and who everyone is in all the films and photos.

Then Martin put on the ultimate JFK slide show. As he would run through the slides everyone would comment on or debate what it meant. Very cool.

We broke for dinner and ordered a bunch of pizzas. We scarfed them down like animals, cleaned up and went back at it until about eleven. Then Russ and I went back to the hotel. I guess some of the others went to a bar.

Sunday morning we met at Steve's house again. Then we went to some farmer's land that Steve knows and shot Todd's Mannlicher-Carcano. Todd got the gun from a collector who purchased it from Klein's. I video taped us shooting the pumpkins. All in all it was a really fun retreat.
