Jim Lesar

Jim Lesar was co-founder in 1984 of the Assassination Archives and Research Center in Washington, D.C. The stated purpose of the AARC is "to provide a permanent organization which would acquire, preserve, and disseminate information on political assassinations."

Mr. Lesar has been actively involved in the JFK case since the early 1970s, when he represented author Harold Weisberg (a 1995 recipient of the Meagher Award) in a Freedom of Information Act suit in which he successfully obtained a once Top-Secret Warren Commission Excutive Session transcript. (The transcript was reproduced in facsimile in Weisberg's Whitewash IV.) Before that, Lesar was a member of James Earl Ray's defense team.
