November in Dallas

As the 33rd anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy approaches, so does the first annual conference of JFK-Lancer. "November in Dallas" is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, through Saturday, November 23.

The conference comes on the heels of COPA's third annual conference in Washington, D.C in October. (See related story.) COPA has also scheduled meetings in Dallas for November 22-24, at the Paramount Hotel (see related information). Both COPA and Lancer will be represented at the JFK memorial service in Dealey Plaza on November 22.

At the Lancer conference, scheduled topics and presentations include: The Garrison Enigma; The JFK Case: As We Approach the Millenium; and New Leads in Files and Documents. In addition, a discussion and possible showing of the Paschall film is on the docket, as well as a panel on soldier-of-fortune Gerry Patrick Hemming. Speakers include David Lifton, Dr. John Newman, Joseph Backes, and Ian Griggs. Also planned are the JFK Lancer/Mary Ferrell Awards.

Fair Play will have representatives at the Lancer conference and will have a complete report on the conference in Issue #14, available on January 1. In addition, look for highlights in the "Updates" file of this issue within a week or so of the conference's conclusion.
