Excuses

The idea for Fair Play--a Mosaic document presenting stuff about the JFK assassination--occurred to us in mid-1994. Mixing the Kennedy case with a cool hypertext tool--what fun!

Now that we're sending it out into the world, a few comments are in order.

Fair Play is intended to be a newsletter, although unlike conventional newsletters, interested parties must go to Fair Play rather than the other way around. At this point we're still groping along--creating a Mosaic page has been trickier than either of us expected it would be. It's getting easier, though. The plan is to have a new "issue," if we can call it that, every month or so.

A number of people helped out with this very first Fair Play, but mostly it's the work of two people: Lalo J. Gastriani and John Kelin. Blame them for anything that pisses you off.

We would both like to acknowledge the aid of certain people: for example, a fellow on the east coast and a fellow on the west coast. Each helped us out in small but important ways. Thanks too to all those people with whom we've come in contact who--like us--know that the truth will set us free.

Special thanks must go to independent researcher Lisa Pease, who traveled to Washington, DC at her own expense to attend the COPA conference, and wrote a fascinating essay on her experiences. Her generosity in allowing us to edit and reproduce her work let us have some actual news in our newsletter. She also maintains the ftp site that can be reached from the main page of Fair Play.

Regarding Fair Play's content...well, we come from an obvious point of view. More than thirty years on, this case remains a lightning rod for many people. We're happy to share an opinion or two. And we're happy to get feedback.

Contact Fair Play at P.O. Box 80801 Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688, or send e-mail to ljg@kaiwan.com. Feel free to send comments or articles to either address. Snailmail submissions should be made on floppy disk in DOS or Macintosh format, preferably in Microsoft Word, the older the version the better. Please include SASE for return of your material.
