Akron Camera Club - General Information

General Information about the Akron Camera Club

Meeting location:
Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC), 2131 Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls
(see Map) All types of photography are welcome, including slides, and both commercial prints and prints made by the photographer. The club is also active in digital photography and derivative techniques such as polaroid transfer prints, etc.
Visitors are always welcome, but cannot participate in competitions.

Meetings are held at 7:30 PM almost every Wednesday from September thru May, excluding holidays.

- first week: general business meeting, and sharing of miscelaneous photos

- second week: club competition, with outside judge

- remaining meetings consist of a variety of programs as chosen by the program chairperson

We feature an annual exhibit at the CVAC, usually held in April. This exhibit showcases members works, and has been well received in the past.

A newsletter is published monthly and contains a listing of the programs for that month, along with other useful notices of area events

- field trips
- summer outings
- banquets

Membership is open to all levels of amateur photographers. Annual dues are $30 per person, $45 per couple.
